2008 LONG BEACH WELCOMES DOCTORS FROM JAPAN

 Six physicians from Yokkaichi, arrived in Long Beach on Feb. 9, 2008 to observe medical procedures and technology at Long Beach memorial Medical Center, St. Mary Medical Center and the Long Beach VA Medical Center. 

Takehiro Hachisuka, M.D., Medical Program director for the Yokkaichi Municipal Hospital met with hospital administrators during his four day visit.  The other physicians will be in Long Beach for two weeks and will spend time with local medical doctors in their own specialities.  The visiting doctors are:  Masahiro Yoshida, MD, Mitsuhiro Yoshida, MD; Tomomi Yamakawa, MD; Hansu Kim, MD; and Toshifumi Murai, MD.

This is a mjaor porgam of the Long Beach-Yokkaichi Sister City Association which is coordinated by Dr. John Kashiwabara, MD; Dr. Tom Mizuguchi, MD and Bruce Easley, RN.

The program will end on February 21, 2008 with a farewell dinner sponsored by the Sister City Association.
