TRIO EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2009 A PEOPLE TO PEOPLE PROGRAM While trade fairs and technical exchanges are important, the exchange of individuals has been our major goal for more than 45 years. During every summer since 1963 Long Beach and Yokkaichi have sponsored exchanges of teachers and students. In alternating years we either send or receive 2 students and 1 teacher for a two or three week visit. In the summer of 2009 July 22 to August 11, a teacher and two students from Long Beach will visit Yokkaichi as Good Will Ambassadors for the City of Long Beach. This program is open to teachers and students of the Long Beach school systems.
